Fall River youth and agency representatives and two former City Councilors gathered on January 6, 2010 at CD-REC to continue planning the upcoming Peace By Piece Summit to be held on March 27, 2010 at Kuss Middle School. The planning process is hosted by the Violence Prevention Task Force, a committee of the United Neighbors Community Partnership. The group broke into groups to plan the keynote presentation, the breakout groups and the venue and related aspects of the day-long conference that will focus on various aspects of violence prevention in the community. Anyone interested in joining the planning process should contact either United Neighbors director Wendy Garf-Lipp at 508-324-7900 or Youth Services coordinator Christian McCloskey at 508-324-2419.
