Members of the B.M.C. Durfee High School Peaceful Coalition held a Kick-off to a Peaceful Summer at the Bank Street Armory on June 25, 2010. The event included remarks by Fall River Mayor Will Flanagan, Police Chief Daniel Racine, Housing Authority Executive Director Tom Collins and Family and Youth Services Director Joey DaSilva, Durfee High School Principal Paul Marshall, Brian Rose, Youth Services Director Christian McCloskey and Peaceful Coalition student advisors Tom Khoury and Paul Leite. Following the opening remarks, participants walked from Bank Street to Britland Park for an afternoon of games and festivities.
