The plaza that runs  from the new Fall River Justice Center to Sullivan Drive next to Government Center saw half a dozen farm stands, local vendors, a food booth from CD-REC, and live music on July 15, 2010, the first day of the new Thursday market on Old Second Street. Dozens of local employees and residents circulated through throughout the afternoon, taking advantage of the fresh fruits and vegetable for sale along with other offerings from vendors and artists. "This is a great compliment to the other two markets that we have in the City," noted Neighborhood Outreach Coordinator Perry Long who put the market together. The Second Street market will operate on Thursdays from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. into the fall. Other markets are available at Kennedy Park on Saturday mornings and and at Ruggles Park on Wednesdays.
