The 18th annual Healthy Kids Day at the Fall River YMCA brought dozens of children and their parents to the facility on April 17, 2010 for three hours of activity and fun events designed to introduce families to what the Y has to offer. From bounding around and through two giant inflatable bounce houses to scaling the climbing wall, children had the chance to get some heart-healthy activity. Other events included hula-hoop, jump rope, Wii bowling and arts and crafts. Marcia Picard of the Children In Balance project was on hand to provide information on healthy foods and to hand out two grocery bags full of healthy foods to two winners of door-prize drawings. A bicycle was also raffled off to one very lucky child. The Fall River Y runs a variety of programs six days a week in their downtown  location, each of which promotes a healthy body, mind and spirit.
