The Boys & Girls Club of Fall River held its annual Kick-off and Open House event on October 1, 2011 to invite new and former members to sign up for another year of activities for young people at the Bedford Street facility. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of our members by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and a power of influence. The Club runs the SMART Moves (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) prevention/education program addresses problems such as drug and alcohol use and premature sexual activity. The Club depends on generous individual gifts, volunteers, fundraising events, and foundation support to serve 1800 youngsters each year.
