Members of the Father Kelly Neighborhood Association and the Scholarship City Softball League (SCSL) held a Family Fun Day at Father Kelley Park in the City's South End on October 16, 2011. The event was rescheduled from an earlier date due to heavy rain. Father Kelly Neighborhood Association president Rosemary Lapointe and her husband, Dave, did a lot of the work to organize the gathering along with SCSL President Jack Hackett his wife Natalie and board members Bob Hackett, Tim Lima and Paul Raposa. Activities included a bean bag toss, spoon and water relay races, and a frisbee toss. Staff from the Swansea Home Depot brought their popular Kids Workshop to set up, and Kool Smiles offered information on their dental programs for children. Both Massachusetts State Representative Kevin Aguiar and Representative Paul Schmid were on hand as the group finished setting up. For more information about the Neighborhood Association, please contact president Rosemary Lapointe.
