One of more than
50 Peace Poles
created by local organizations was "planted" at the Fall River
office of Seven Hills Behavioral Health on July 27, 2011. Clients in the
psychiatric day treatment program also added stones with messages of
peace painted on them to the clay pot that holds the pole in the
facility's waiting area. United Neighbors
director Wendy
Garf-Lipp,
working with the World Peace Prayer Society
and United Neighbors sees these "plantings" as part of a comprehensive,
multi-disciplinary approach
to address gang and youth violence in the city of Fall River. Click
