The eighth annual meeting and award celebration for the B.O.L.D. (Building Our Lives Drug-free) Coalition was held on October 26, 2012 at Stanley Street Treatment & Resources (SSTAR). BOLD Staff Director Craig Gaspard introduced BOLD Advisory Board Chairman Tom Pasternak who opened the meeting and acknowledged the contribution of many people to the effort over the years, Youth Program Director Mike Aguiar was then introduced to present awards to Mayor Flanagan, School Committee Member Mark Costa, and the City's Corporation Counsel Elizabeth Sousa who assisted with passage of five ordinances over the past two years. The meeting concluded with a presentation on Question 3 by Massachusetts Prevention Alliance president Heidi Heilman and a presentation on the dangers of legalizing marijuana by Harvard Medical School Professor of Psychobiology Dr. Bertha Madras.
