The eighth Challenge event in the four-month Fall River Fitness Challenge was held indoors at the Veterans' Memorial Auditorium on a rainy March 3rd Saturday. The event was half way through the Challenge, so people were asked how they're doing. "I feeling healthier," commented Challenge participant Chrissy Lewis. "I had a set back but now I'm losing weight again," reported Terry Greenwood. "I'm looking forward to running my first 5K race ever," offered first-time Challenge participant James Ferreira. All were looking forward to better weather so the can walk or run outdoors. Organized by the Diabetes Association, Inc. (DAI),  Community Development Recreation (CD-REC), the Fall River YMCA, General Fitness and Healthy City Fall River, and sponsored by Partners for a Healthier Community, the Challenge offers low cost opportunities for those who live, work or attend school in Greater Fall River to get fit, lose weight, have fun and win prizes.
