The tenth Challenge event in the four-month 2012 Fall River Fitness Challenge took participants on a walk/run on March 17th led by Saint Anne's Neighborhood Association president Pamela Laliberte-Lebeau. The group left CD-REC headquarters on Bank Street and headed up Milliken Boulevard to the top of Kennedy Park. The group then walked all around the park and returned to CD-REC where they participated in a raffle drawing for prizes. Organized by the Diabetes Association, Inc. (DAI),  Community Development Recreation (CD-REC), the Fall River YMCA, General Fitness and Healthy City Fall River, and sponsored by Partners for a Healthier Community, the Challenge offers low cost opportunities for those who live, work or attend school in Greater Fall River to get fit, lose weight, have fun and win prizes.
