The third Winter Market of the 2012 season took place at the Veterans' Memorial Auditorium on Saturday morning, March 10th, featuring products from a variety of local vendors. Designed as an opportunity to showcase local products, the market featured local vendors offering cheese, bread, oatmeal, jam and honey in addition to jewelry and photographs . "Our offerings are expanding every month and vendors are starting to seek us out" commented market coordinator Annemarie Sharkey. The event also featured a cooking demonstration by Chef Bill Walker of the Tradewinds Restaurant at B.M.C. Durfee High School. This was another opportunity to teach ways of cooking healthy foods using fresh produce like what is featured on the "Look Who's Cooking" show on FRED-TV cable television.
