The Fall River Bike Committee organized a New Year's Day Bike ride to start off 2012 in motion! With temperatures in the mid-forties and a sunny, dry day available, sixteen riders gathered at the CVS and New York Bagel parking lot on President Avenue for a leisurely ride through the north end of the city of Fall River. "This was a wonderful way to start the New Year out right with a little exercise and fresh air," quipped Bike Committee chairperson  Brian Pearson. 'We want people to know that cycling can be a year around activity, even here in Fall River, as there are many great cycling days throughout the winter months," he added. The Fall River Bike Committee is made up of about 75 members and holds regular monthly meetings, usually on the first Monday of the month at the Community Room of the Rodman Street Stop & Shop. Plans to complete a path through Fall River are currently underway.
