Over two hundred people gathered at the new Fall River Transportation Center on June 21, 2013 for its dedication to former Southastern Regional Transit Authority (SRTA) administrator Louis D. Pettine. SRTA Administrator Erik Rousseau introduced Fall River Mayor and SRTA Advisory Board Chair William Flanagan who noted that the project was completed on time and on budget. "We're really improving transportation within our community," noted Flanagan. He and other speakers that included Federal Transit Administration's deputy regional administrator Peter Butler, Susan Pettine, Louis Pettine's wife of 43 years, State Senator Michael Rodrigues, and State Representative Patricia Haddad. The handicapped accessible facility includes a conference room, news store/candy shop, police satellite office, restrooms and a separate outdoor entrance for a coffee shop with separate restrooms.
