The twenty-fifth scheduled Greater Fall River Fitness Challenge event took place on April 20, 2013 at Greater Fall River Re-Creation's headquarters on Bank Street. Fitness Fusion team leader Greg Medeiros led over thirty Challenge participants in an hour-long workout, first at nine exercise stations and then through some core exercises on the floor mats. "It's so great to see so many people staying with these Challenges," noted Challenge Coordinator Annemarie Sharkey. Dr. Weed also offered one of his Low-Carb talks to several of the participants following the event.Sponsored by Partners for a Healthier Community and Southcoast Hospitals, the event was organized with the participation of All Generations Fitness, the Diabetes Association, Inc., Fitness Fusion, General Fitness. Greater Fall River Re-creation, Healthy City Fall River, and the Fall River YMCA. The Challenge offers low cost opportunities for those who live, work or attend school in the Greater Fall River Area to get fit, lose weight, have fun and win prizes.
