The twenty-first scheduled Greater Fall River Fitness Challenge event took place on March 23, 2013 at Greater Fall River Re-Creation's headquarters on Bank Street. Staff of the Fitness Fusion, including M.J. Alfano, Mindy Davis, Greg Medeiros, and Traci Patton led over 60 participants in an hour-long workout that included Zumba, mat work, stair climbs and ball tosses.. "The group is really doing much better than they did even a few weeks ago," noted Greg Mediros who led the Fitness Fusion team. "We're seeing a lot of progress among the participatns," he added. Sponsored by Partners for a Healthier Community and Southcoast Hospitals, the event was organized with the participation of All Generations Fitness, the Diabetes Association, Inc., Fitness Fusion, General Fitness. Greater Fall River Re-creation, Healthy City Fall River, and the Fall River YMCA. The Challenge offers low cost opportunities for those who live, work or attend school in the Greater Fall River Area to get fit, lose weight, have fun and win prizes.
