Adults and children from the Corky Row Neighborhood were invited to a half-day of fun at Griffin Park on June 28, 2014, sponsored by the Redemption Fellowship on nearby Morgan Street. The event included free food, a free concert and lots of fun activities throughout the four-and-a-half-hour event. Adults who paid $5 could enter a three-on-three basketball tournament and three-point shooting contest for cash prizes. Christian rock groups and rappers played as children played in the bounce house nearby. The theme of the event was "Loving our community in the name of Jesus. The Church organizes this event every year and invites everyone from the City to join in whether they are a member of the Church or not. Click here for a one-and-a-half minute video of the event.
