The third annual Mass In Motion Action Institute was held at the DCU Center in Worcester on April 3, 2013 where over 200 people participated in the day-long program. This statewide conference brings together communities and stakeholders from across Massachusetts who are implementing policy, systems, and environmental approaches that support healthy eating and active living. The Institute was designed to foster leadership skills development to advance community collaboration, increase regional and statewide networking, and to increase awareness of healthy eating and active living strategies and successes. Following introductory remarks by Health Resources In Action (HRIA) Vice-President Steve Ridini, DPH Commissioner Cheryl Bartlett welcomed participants and summarized the progress that Mass In Motion has been making in addressing healthy eating and active living.
