Participants from Mass in Motion projects across the Commonwealth gathered at the Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boylston, MA for a four-and-a-half-hour session on Planning for Sustainability on July 23, 2014 hosted by the Community Health Training Institute. The continued, consistent implementation of effective prevention policies, strategies and practices is a key component of any successful project. Aleya Martin and Shari Sprong of Health Resources In Action (HRIA) led participants in this workshop in which they were introduced to the many facets of sustainability, including sustaining strategies, outcomes, partnerships and coalition infrastructure. The group then joined an interactive case study of a coalition in order to learn the ABCs of sustainability planning. Click here for photos of the most recent Mass in Motion Action Institute.
