Residents of the Niagara Neighborhood as well as the rest of the City gathered in Pulaski Park for a cook-out and party in the park on June 28, 2014. The event featured free hot dogs and lots of activities for the children, including face painting and free books donated by Ocean State Job Lot. Julie Kelly of Fall River Mass in Motion was on hand with Fall River Police Officers Ruggiero and Saraiva to fit free bicycle helmets donated by the Kivanis Club of Fall River and BMC HealthNet Plan. The most popular table was one organized by Home Depot which gave children a chance to make several items out of wood. Local politicians were on hand as well as gubernatorial candidate Don Berwick to greet participants. "I'm so glad to be here with the children of this neighborhood and elsewhere celebrating the beginning of summer,," reported Niagara Neighborhood Association member Angela Foley.
