David Weed and Wendy Garf-Lipp represented Partners for a Healthier Community in celebrating the award of eight new communities for the annual Culture of Health Prize award at the headquarters of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) in Princeton, New Jersey on October 28, 2015. The new winning communities included both Everett and Lawrence, Massachusetts, as well as Bridgeport, CT, The Bronx, NY, Kansas City, MO, Menominee Nation, Spartanburg County, SC, and the Waaswaaganing Anishinaabeg Tribe. Participants then  engaged in two hour-long conversations led by representatives of current and former winning communities. The next day, Ms. Garf-Lipp represented Fall River in a panel presentation on the impact of the Award along with representatives of the former winning communities of Williamson, WV, Brownsville, TX, and Cambridge, MA. They ended by discussing the development of a Culture of Health Network, including a regional network in New England of those six winners. Click here for a 50-minute video of portions of the event.
