Dozens of children and adults went to Kennedy Park the day after Winter Storm Juno on January 28, 2015 to take advantage of the terrific hills for sledding. The Park is well-known for providing one of the longest downhill runs with few trees or other obstacles and away from traffic. Dawn and Dennis Farias took their seven-year-old daughter, Kendall, to the Park from their home nearby where they found people of all ages enjoying the slopes on all kinds of devices. Up until the storm, which left Fall River with two feet of snow, the winter had been largely free of snow, so the day after the storm provided a terrific opportunity to get some exercise and have some fun at the same time. The children were especially enjoying the day because school had been called off for the second day in a row. Click here for a short video of the fun. (Top row)  Denny Farias walks back up the hill with his seven-year-old daughter, Kendall, for another run while people gather at the top to prepare for their run. (Row two) Colin and Erica Bradley enjoy a run on their double tube. (Row three, center) Kendall Farias gets a free ride up the hill with her mother, Dawn, pulling.
