The Westport Farmers' Market opened for the season at the Westport Town Farm on Drift Road in Westport offering a variety of farm-fresh produce, crafts and informational tables. Manager Elizabeth Hubert welcomed everyone to visit the Market on July 4, 2015, one of the many Saturdays that it will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. "Please come and visit us," said Hubert. "We'd be more than happy to see you and all of these lovely people with their food and their baked goods, and their hand-made wares would love to see you as well." Other local markets are also available at Saint Anne's Hospital on Mondays, at Ruggles Park every Wednesday, at Charlton Hospital once a month, and at Kennedy Park on Saturday mornings. Partners also runs a market on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Columbia and Canal Streets and has someone available each week to exchange EBT SNAP benefits for tokens that can be used with a number of the farmers at each of the markets.    For more information on the markets, contact Annemarie Holly at Greater Fall River Re-Creation at 508-679-0922..
