Members of the Southcoast Worksite Health & Wellness Collaborative enjoyed a presentation on the NutriSavings system that connects employee's healthy shopping decisions with financial incentives. Director of Business Development Paul Gilpin came to to the meeting from his Newton office to describe the program and answer questions. He explained that the company works with a large number of grocer retail partners to enable employees with registered companies to receive cash incentives for certain purchases. For instance, items such as fruits and vegetables generally generate a savings of about 20% off of usual retail prices. These savings show up in an on-line account and accumulate until the participant collects a cash payment. "It's an amazing system," commented Partners Worksite Wellness Coordinator Angela Bras. "I can see how it could help shape purchases toward a healthier diet," she added. Monthly Collaborative meetings are frequently held at the Sylvia Insurance Company headquarters on Faunce Corner Road in North Dartmouth and offer presentations on a number of topics related to worksite wellness. Click here for a 48-minute video of Mr. Gilpin's presentation and here, here and here for previous presentations. Anyone planning to attend is asked to RSVP Chairperson Angela Bras at 774-400-4466.
