Members of the Southcoast Worksite Health & Wellness Collaborative enjoyed a presentation on local farming at their meeting on June 11, 2015 held at the Sylvia Insurance Company headquarters on Faunce Corner Road in North Dartmouth. Scott Peet of Peets Farm in Dartmouth presented first on his livestock farm where he raises chickens, ducks, and sheep. Averyl Andrade of the Healthy Futures Farm in Westport then talked about a new vegetable farm that she and her husband have just started. Both emphasized their use of organic methods and range-free livestock as part of their commitment to raising crops and animals in the best way for optimal health of both animals and people.
