Care Coordinator Tami O'Neil of Family Service Association obtained a United Way Community Impact Grant which is providing four weeks of health presentations at the Niagara/Maplewood Senior Center and the South Main Senior Center over the months of March and April 2016. The April 9th session brought Certified Yoga Instructor Donna Brown who led the group through a series of gentle stretches designed to increase balance, flexibility and strength when practiced on a regular basis. The participants found that this type of yoga was much easier than sessions that require getting down on the floor. Other sessions in the series have covered reducing dietary sodium, strength building exercises, and dance for fitness with other presenters from Family Service Association. Click here for a 10-minute   video of the presentation. Click here for photos and video of the sodium presentation and here for the dance for fitness session. For more information, contact Tami O'Neil, LSW at 508-730-1138, Ext. 3577.
