The first Family Fun Night of this year held in Westport took place at the Macomber Elementary School on February 24, 2016. Partners School Wellness Coordinator Marcia Picard welcomed nearly 100 parents and children to participate in a program that engages them in some healthy movement while learning about nutrition and a range of community resources that they can access to maintain or improve their health. Participants were offered sessions on nutrition by Chef Jessica Williams of Creating Healthy Solutions and one on movement with Fitness Leaders Mike and Suzanne Ramos. Participants also had the opportunity to speak with representatives of nine agencies including the  Bristol County Sheriff's Office, Child and Family Services, Children's Advocacy Center, Mass Council on Compulsive Gambling, Road to Healing, Saint Anne' Hospital, Southcoast Health, and the Fall River WIC Program, along with Partners for a Healthier Community covering its Soda-Free Challenge.
