The Greater Fall River Fitness Challenge held its ninth Finale at the Eagle Performing Arts Center on May 6, 2016 celebrating the conclusion of the four-month series that began on January 9th with over 500 enrolled. Partners Health and Wellness Coordinator Annemarie Holly thanked the participating organizations, including All Generations Fitness, the Fall River YMCA, Fitness Fusion, FitWorks Online, General Fitness. Greater Fall River Re-creation, and TKO Fitness.. The series was sponsored by Partners, Re-Creation, Saint Anne's Hospital, and Southcoast Health. School participants were honored by Partners School Wellness Coordinator Marcia Picard for involving over 6,000 children in special fitness activities this year. The top winning teams were "Sunday Funday" in third place, "BCC Bombers" in second place, and "Mission Slimpossible" in first place. Danika Guadalupe and Lance Tehan took the top women's and men's places and a $500 check each. Altogether, 1,035 pounds. were lost collectively by the participants.
