Participants in the Greater Fall River Fitness Challenge and the Fall River Parent Academy who attended the seventh presentation in the weekly series, "How to Lose Weight Without Going Hungry" on February 27, 2016 heard Dr. David Weed talk about cereal and fiber. Southcoast Health Registered Dietitian Amanda Raposo joined Dr. Weed with her seven week old infant to add her perspective. Based on the approach to reducing obesity by reducing dietary carbohydrates and increasing fat, Dr. Weed offered participants some samples of cereal made without grains using flaxseed and coconut flakes.
