Mass in Motion Fall River has begun twice-weekly indoor walks at the Kuss Middle School as part of it's efforts to promote walking throughout Fall River. The walks were created as part of the  new "1422 Project" funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health designed to improve opportunities for physical activity and to help people at risk for diabetes and high blood pressure to become more active. The walks are held in conjunction with the Greater Fall River Fitness Challenge and the Parent Academy and are free to anyone in the City who would like to get more exercise during the cold winter months. The weekly group is organized by Senior Champions Kathy Lowney and Kathy Duclos with the assistance of SSTAR Community Prevention Coordinator Eric Andrade. There is not charge to join the group, and registration is not necessary. For more information about walking resources in the City, to to  WalkFallRiver.org or the  WalkFallRiver Facebook page.
