Mass in Motion Fall River was charged with the task of identifying the features of 132 locations for wayfinding signage, maps and web pages related to the new Quequechan River Rail Trail as part of a new "1422 Project" funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Teams of surveyors worked to identify locations in April 2016. The project is designed to improve opportunities for physical activity and to help people at risk for diabetes and high blood pressure to become more active. SSTAR Community Prevention Coordinator Eric Andrade is working on the project with Mass in Motion Fall River Coordinator Julianne Kelly, both of whom oversaw the survey. Consultants from WalkBoston held two public hearings at Government Center to describe the project and asked for input from the public. Click here for a 46-minute   video of the session.
