Mass in Motion Fall River, which began twice-weekly indoor walks at the Kuss Middle School as part of it's efforts to promote walking throughout Fall River, joined participants in the Greater Fall River Fitness Challenge to promote the upcoming American Heart Association Fundraising Walk to be held at UMass-Dartmouth on May 21, 2016. The evening and Saturday walks were created as part of the  new "1422 Project" funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health designed to improve opportunities for physical activity and to help people at risk for diabetes and high blood pressure to become more active. SSTAR Community Prevention Coordinator Eric Andrade and Fitness Challenge Organizer Annemarie Holly were joined by Heart Walk Director Andrea Larocque for the event on March 9, 2016.
