Eleven adults accompanied fifteen children of a variety of ages to the WiggleKids studio at the Swansea Mall on a cold January 15, 2016 as part of a Hathaway Grant to serve low-income families. After explaining the safety rules, owner Coach Kim Ferrara invited the children to bounce, dance and roll on scooters to fun music. The session ended with an indoor "snowball" fight using puff balls that engaged both children and adults in wild, fun and very active event. "The group had a terrific time," stated Partners Outreach Manager Jack Shipley who helped to set up the occasion with the assistance of staff from Catholic Social Services. Stated one mother, "this was a great evening for my boys, something they really needed!" The mother of an eleven-year-old girl who led the group in learning the latest dance moves said "She doesn't get a chance to dance very often where we're living, and she wants to do this again.". Additional sessions are scheduled for February and March.. Click here for photos of another event with WiggleKids.
