Dr. Julius Menn grew up in Poland and Palestine during the 1930s and 1940s. At the age of ten, he and his family were on an extended stay in Poland from Tel Aviv when the German army invaded in September 1939. After a year in Lithuania, the family returned to Palestine in October 1940. Mr. Menn came to Bristol Community College on March 23, 2017 to describe how his family narrowly escaped east to Lithuania by traveling through forests and fields, dodging hunger. Over 100 people were in attendance at the forum, the first in the spring series. The BCC Holocaust Center provides historical information, educational experiences, and multimedia resources to communicate the suffering, pain and deaths of innocent millions during  the Holocaust and other genocides.
