Families from Fall River with little access to transportation were invited by members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church on North Main Street to watch a healthy cooking demonstration, get their hair cut and styled and give their children some healthy activity on March 27, 2017. Partners Community Outreach Manager Jack Shipley organized the event with the help of volunteers from the Church and transportation funding from a Vela Foundation grant. Nutritionist Kimberly Jones from the WIC Program, gave a step-by-step cooking demonstrations. Volunteers from Salon 812, Vanitay Salon and SpaGiselle Hair Studio and Flawless Cutz Barber Shop were also on hand to cut and style hair and staff from the HealthFirst Dental Program  and the WIC Program were also available.
