The City of Fall River held an Urban Forestry Workshop at Government Center on March 22, 2017, in an effort to provide information about the value and stewardship of the City's urban forest. The workshop was led by Liz McKinley of Davey Resource Group and included presentations by Mary Ann Wordell of the Fall River Street Tree Planting Program,  Andrew Hillman of the Davey Resource Group, and Chance Perks and Justin Ohlson of the New Bedford Urban Forestry Maintenance Program. Following lunch, workshops were held by Jason Veil on nursery care and forest pest planting by Nicole Keleher.
