America on the Move |
||
America On the Move's (AOM) national month long celebration highlights the benefits of active living and healthful eating. The month promotes AOM's small change approach to achieving healthier lifestyles among individuals, families, communities and society. The Fall River YMCA participates every fall through a walk from the North Main Street facility to the Heritage Park board walk, around the Iwo Jima monument and back to the Y.M.C.A. facility. The Y also holds Healthy Kids Day in April when kids and families are invited to participate in games, try healthy foods and learn about other community agencies. |
