Chamber of Commerce Employer Health Survey
Action Plan Participant:
Greater Fall River Chamber of Commerce and the UMass School of Marketing

Students at the UMass-Dartmouth School of Marketing are conducting a research project about the wellness policies, practices and resources among Fall River employer organizations. This information will be used as a guide to developing new resources that can help lower the risk chronic illnesses, leading to lower productivity and quality of life among employees.

3, A) Nutrition and diabetes education

Goal:

To identify resources and needs for nutrition, and fitness education among Fall River employers

Method(s):

Conduct a telephone survey of at least 10 percent of Fall River employers to gain specific information about needs and resources

Timeline:          

October through December 2007

Indicators:       

Completion of surveys for at least 10% of employers

Progress: Survey completed and delivered December 2007

By identifying potential wellness resources for employers
