Action Plan Participant:
Katie Brown Educational
Foundation

The privately-funded Katie Brown Educational Program is providing education to hundreds of Fall River students in an effort to prevent intimate violence. The program helps young people manage anger and eradicate violence. The program is currently being presented in 5th, 6th, and 8th grade classrooms as well as in area high schools in Southeastern New England. Each curriculum is carefully designed to be appropriate to the specific ages and development levels of the classrooms. At each grade-level, the program consists of five sessions and incorporates student activities and open discussions to encourage students’ active participation.
