“Welcoming Maplewood” Project
Action Plan Participant:
Maplewood Neighborhood Association

The Maplewood Neighborhood Association was established in October, 2002, at the Maplewood-Niagara Senior Center. The Association is partnering with the Hispanic Events Committee to schedule a Fall Festival and Holiday Supper's Secret Santa with a focus on welcoming new people into the Association from areas that have culturally diverse community members.

Goal:

 To increase neighborhood cohesion and safety and to maintain a high quality of life in the neighborhood.

Purchase of supplies and entertainment for the event

Improved safety and quality of life as evidenced by neighbor reports.

Progress: Event successfully held

How citizens can  get involved:

By participating in the Neighborhood Association monthly meetings.
