Safe Routes To School
Action Plan Organization:
Fall River Children In Balance
The Children In Balance Project is working with the Massachusetts Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program to promotes healthy alternatives for children and parents in their travel to and from school. It educates students, parents and community members on the value of walking and bicycling for travel to and from school. The International Walk to School Day is held in October every year.

Strategic Goal:    Create and support a sustainable Safe-Routes-to-School system to support walking on the part of 80% of elementary, middle and high school students in public and private schools
