The Boys & Girls Club offers fitness programs and resources for both youth and adults at various times of the day and week.

BCC's Fall River campus has a fully-equipped, staffed fitness center located in the Commonwealth College Center on the lower level.
The center offers: Cybex weight training equipment, Stairmasters, elliptical trainers, lifecycles, treadmills, rowers, and a free weight dumbbell area. Locker room and shower facilities are available. Fitness instructors are on staff to show proper use of equipment. Yoga, Tai Chi, Cardio, and other classes are offered regularly. Health Fairs and special programs including body composition testing and self defense workshops are held throughout the year. The Center is open for use to all BCC students, College employees, and alumni.

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program offers individual exercise programs within a group setting, directed by health professionals. Classes are held for 90 minutes at various times throughout the day. Most insurance policies cover this program. If you need assistance, financial counseling is available to help plan for your care.

The Fitness Center offers state-of-the art equipment, a satellite link for an LCD television, and a training schedule that will accommodate nearly everyone. Certified Personal Trainer Amy Jones of Where Is The Work-Out is available throughout the week to lead classes or provide individual personal training

A total fitness and health education program for women with any cancer diagnosis. Each class includes range-of-motion, cardiovascular, toning, and flexibility exercises tailored to group needs. Participants may have had any cancer diagnosis, need not be patients at St. Anne's Hospital, and may join at any time. There is no charge, but registration is recommended. Contact Karyl Benoit.
 

Older Adult Fitness Program

The Fall River Council on Aging offers a fitness program for adults over age 60 from 9:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday morning at the Niagara-Maplewood Senior Center on Stafford Road.

Ballroom, hip hop, fox-trot, swing, cha-cha, rumba, tango, and salsa dancing is offered along with swimming lessons and yoga through weekday programs for a nominal fee.
