The second annual Get Steppin' Walk for the Homeless in Recovery fundraising drive took off at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, August 21st. Proceeds from the event will benefit the First Step Inn emergency shelter, the new homeless shelter operated by Steppingstone at 175, N. Main St.. The annual event raises funds for homeless men and women in recovery, helping provide them with educational opportunities, counseling, proper nutrition, bedding and other services to help keep them clean, sober and safely sheltered.
