Members of the Fall River Bicycle Committee took part in ride on May 18, 2013 sponsored by the Fairhaven Bikeway Committee to celebrate "National Bike Month". The League of American Bicyclists sponsored Bike to Work Week from May 13th to 17th and Bike to Work Day on the 17th of May. The Faihaven ride started at Fort Phoenix and riders were able to choose between two different rides. One was a family-friendlly eight-mile ride and the other ride was a 26-mile ride through Fairhaven and Mattapoisett. After the rides, the cyclists went back to Fort Phoenix to enjoy live music and a tour of the Fort. Click here for photos of a ride in Newport. Click here for a photos of a bike ride to Fogland.
